The Tolkien Italia Facebook page posted a picture yesterday of an advertisement displaying the UK release date of the BofA EE along with a picture of the cover:
I'm not as picky about continuity in packaging materials like some other Tolkien fans, but the picture on the front does seem a bit out of place compared with the other two. For one, the AUJ and DOS pictures were nearly uniform in color (dark blue and tan, respectively) and featured a collage of characters centered mainly on one side or the other (as seen below).
But, it doesn't really matter that much as long as there are an abundance of extra scenes and the bonus features are extensive and detailed like usual. With such a late release date that shouldn't be a problem. Many fans (including myself) were hoping it could come out several months earlier since there's no new Hobbit film to promote at the end of the year.
Update: The UK Amazon page is also currently displaying a November 16th release date. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hobbit-Battle-Armies-Extended-Blu-ray/dp/B00ZX1Y6TW/?tag=hennetannun-21
Update 6/27/15: Blu-ray.com has now listed the BotFA EE with a November 3rd release date for the USA. It should also be noted that the film is listed with a PG-13 rating, not R. During the press rounds for the film's theatrical release last year Peter Jackson made several comments about his creative process for the action sequences and how many of his creative orc deaths were cut by the MPAA. Shorty thereafter, many fans speculated that Jackson would put them back in the EE.
Update 8/6/15: The EE of BoFA has been given an R rating by the MPAA. http://musingsofatolkienist.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-hobbit-extended-editions-coming-to.html
